The Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) competition is more than
just a grant program. It's a platform to showcase your innovation, gain
mentorship, and connect with a network of like-minded leaders across the

About Africa’s Business Heroes
ABH is an annual initiative that celebrates African founders who are tackling real challenges through business solutions.
Beyond funding, it helps entrepreneurs gain exposure, improve their skills, and grow ventures that create jobs and positive social impact.
For the continent’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem,
programs like ABH provide the visibility and resources needed to turn ideas
into scalable solutions.
Prize and Support
The
total prize pool is $1.5 million for ten finalists. The grand winner receives
$300,000, with first and second runners-up awarded $250,000 and $150,000
respectively. Other finalists receive $100,000 each. Beyond the financial
award, participants gain access to mentorship, training programs, and media
coverage to help you turn small businesses into larger, sustainable ventures.
Who Should Apply
Applicants must be founders or co-founders of a registered business operating in Africa, with at least a few years of proven operations.
All industries are welcome, from technology and agriculture to education and healthcare.
The program
encourages diverse applicants, including women-led businesses and founders from
underrepresented regions.
